When I started my first blog in 2009, the one where the comments disappeared and no one was able to comment anymore, I was 69 years old. My husband was alive, we had four dogs, we hiked all the time, we took trips, we were really alive and enjoying our lives.
So I had fun things to post about.
While I'm happy with my life now, I feel a bit insecure about returning to blogging -- what will I write about now -- after all, some days, I seem to do nothing much at all.
So I want to thank you for your comments on my last post, a while ago now, welcoming me back. It made a difference and now I will just write whatever comes to mind and enjoy myself doing that, as well as reading your blogs.
I am with you, in 2009 when I started my blog, I was going out every week end with a friend and taking photos, preserves and state parks, museums of all kinds, each weekend I had about 500 photos a week. now I drive less than 20 miles a week, and only shop for food and necessities and doctor visits. I have in the past few weeks found it harder and harder to post each day. I am out of a post as I type this and find I am doing mostly complaining about Walmart.

ReplyDeleteAnd that's exactly as it ought to be, a little record of the stuff that catches your interest or is worth recording for posterity. Glad to hear you are feeling happy 😊 YAM xx
You can still write interesting posts!
ReplyDeleteWrite your memories!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Hi, Faith! 🐶
ReplyDeleteIn answer to her question, no, Faith, no doggie here. 😌🐶
DeleteWe just saw the little dog face emoji, so we thought maybe you had a dog.
DeleteYou are like all of us, all of our lives change. So good to see you! and your horses photo is lovely with the clear sky and mountains behind them. OH, and that sweet little donkey peeking out from behind!

I enjoy whatever you write about. Just a picture could even be a blog post!!
ReplyDeleteWrite when the brain and hands are working together. That is what I have to do.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you are blogging again! You have such a wonderful writing talent and are very perceptive about animals and people. You take wonderful photos and I so enjoy how, with words, you put such feeling and life thoughts together. Welcome back and miss you my good friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy, this was very kind of you. I will do my best to come up with good stories and pictures.

DeleteMany good bloggers left blogging for lack of topics. Everyday blogging (unless for diary purposes ) 'dries the well quickly'. So, things should be more planned and not written impulsively. as if to catch up with some given number or quantity of posts.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see you, Inger. I wonder how you are when you don't blog for a while. I appreciate you checking in with us and I agree with the people who say "write your memories." You've had an interesting life. I also started blogging in 2009 and my life has changed so much since then, too.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
